Thank you for coming to the sock party!

Just a shout out to all of you who blessed my home with your loveliness last Friday for our annual sock party! There were new faces and not so new faces and I thought it was fantastic to see the men in the evening! We had 8 families over for 9 Papa Murphy pizzas! What a marathon of relational fun! A parade of friends from morning till...well, morning(hit the hay at 12:58 AM)! We even had a family stay the night and continued the feasting with breakfast and lunch together the following day!

Thanks to Rob for his music, Debbie, Sandy, Heather, Grandma Janice(wasn't she so cute?), and all the other women who helped with the set up and cleaning tasks. Like I told Sandy, don't show up on time to one of my parties if you don't plan on working! I am usually still putting all the pieces into place and you might get sucked in to helping! And weren't the children good? They played so well together and had on their best manners.

How blessed I am to be surrounded with such quality friends who love me and give me the grace to be myself amongst them! To those who were unable to come, I truly missed each one of you. I hope next year will be gentler, weather wise, and we can see more faces that we love! Did I succeed in getting you all into the proper holiday spirit? Have a great December, friends, and enjoy those slipper socks!

PS. I don't know who the funny man is making the toast, but he captured the spirit of my little thank you, so I uploaded him just for your blogging enjoyment.

Well, the little toasting man put a smile on my face, so it worked! Very funny! I kept waiting to hear who he was!

We missed you, sadly, and are glad you all had a wonderful time. (We didn't doubt that you would!)

Here's to next year!

That is so fnny that you put a picture of a stranger on your post. I was with Karen, I kept reading to see who he was.
Anyhow, the party was wonderful fun. It always is. Jules, you are a gracious host. I love you!
