My children and I are fully consumed with the joy and the need to accumulate millions of tiny little people and their belongings and play acting with these tiny people until our brains feel dusty and empty of creative purpose. Playmobil has become my new chocolate.

I love these. I'm sorry to say my kids have never played with any at least not at our house.
I think we own half of what Playmobil has to offer ;-)
Whenever our little ones are given Christmas/ birthday money, they head right to the discount toy store to stock up! Right now my (huge) coffee table has an indian camp, a sheriff's office, corral full of horses, and bandits in their hideout.

We're another Playmobil family! My boys play with it--that's what they get for Christmas, and when they have money, that's what they buy. Most of what they like is the knights and castles (they play Narnia-ish stuff with it).
I've started my own collection, too - but mine is all girly stuff, like Mommies with babies in sling, and little girls pushing carriages.
