Started a path I was on 7 years ago.

Today I started to walk down a familiar path. Today I consumed 1114 calories, drank 8 glasses of water. Peed at least 8 different times! Ha! And it is so amazing how one day can bring your whole life back into control. I am following the Prism diet. I had great success on this eating plan 7 years ago, after the birth of my third child. I am confident of the success I will have this time around...I just wonder why it took me this long to return to what works for me. For anyone interested, I have a blog that you can join to journal your own health path. Several ladies belong to it and it is a great forum to encourage one another.

Julie, I want to encourage you! You raved about how this program helped you and I'm sure you'll do excellently.

I'm excited for you. I know I feel much better about myself when I'm fit.

Jules- I have my own diet and fitness goals that I have started as well. I bought a body fat calculator and I have been doing these great resistance exercises lately. That coupled with my walking should help me shed a few pounds by June, which is my goal. Do you have to do the Prism diet to be included in your blog? Let me know. I may want to add a few journals if I can.
THanks and congrats on your commitment to yourself and your family.

Today is D-Day. Not dooms day, but Destination Day. Today I have started a journey to my new destination....and that is to be fit, and to be healthy.
Pray for me, the first week is always the most difficult. With no sugar, white flour, or potatoes, any where in my foreseeable future, it is going to be tough, but well worth the effort. I had great success on this same plan, nearly ten years ago now. Yikes! Has it been that long?!?

Well I am not on the prisms diet but I have a couple friends that are. They are the only ones I can relate with in my own diet ideas. Like prism I have basically excluded white sugar from my diet. (Though I slipped a little, Okay a lot, during Christmas.)
Last year at the same time the Lord was impressing on Rick that He needed to stop drinking and the Lord as leading me to stop consuming the white sugar. It wasn't until we had both had made a final decision to stop that we realized that the lord was leading us both to give up a very strong vise in our lives at the same time. How’s that for oneness of mind and Spirit.
Blessings!

Way to go Lis/Rick you old married folk. Sadily Sundee an I do that sort of thing far to often and it has brought me to realize that I to am old married folk. When Tawni isn't home it is an excuse to get extra sleep. Now as for diets I saw my life flash before my eyes (no white sugar, or white flour, ect) I am waiting for my chewing out by the Doc when he gets my colestral results back that combined with my 235# and hypertentsion blood pressure. However I know my biggest help would be just to go work out but when do I have time. School, Work, Commuting, Family, Church, Ect!!!
